THE following people were winners in reader giveaway competitions in last week's Weekend.

Valentine's Day giveaway: Derelle Warby of Wallsend wins a weekend for two at the Furama Hotel Central in Sydney. The package includes luxury accommodation for two at the Furama in Surry Hills, a three-course dinner for two, breakfast, entertainment and a gift.

CD-ROM giveaway: The five winners of the double CD-ROM packs featuring Holidaying the Pacific and Holidaying Australia valued at $80 were: Mrs C. Haylock of New Lambton, Donnah Bowe of Wallsend, Rose Chesterfield of Belmont, W. Ross of Dudley and David Myers of Mayfield.

Both titles feature a comprehensive collection of holiday information ranging from where to stay, what to do and how to get around.

Blues Festival giveaway: Kerrie Fisher, of Merewether and Fiona Green, of Cardiff win three-day passes to the Australian Blues Music festival at Goulburn. The festival this weekend will feature an all-Australian line-up of 30 blues bands performing under to huge tents. More than 10,000 people are expected to attend. *
